There is a light at the end of the tunnel!

Mother's Day is always such an awesome, pinch me time! I can't believe that I am blessed with so much. I have to work hard, almost daily, at not yelling at my kids...and I don't always succeed. But, this is the best job in the world and I take it very seriously. I vowed to always put my kiddos and husband first and again, I don't always succeed at being the best but I try. I am so grateful to have parents and family that support my family and show the love of God through them, I am grateful for mom friends and church family that let my kids see everyday what "good" is! Okay enough of that... Well there are 7 days and counting...to the end of school.  Alex, as well as myself, could NOT be more excited.  We have been beyond blessed with awesome teachers and assistants from the time we entered preschool.  This year has been no different.  He has learned so much and came home Friday telling me what time it was on my watch.  So smart and they learn so much in kindergarten.  So proud of my big guy, I can't even look at him without choking up with pride!  Sophia has also come so far this year and really is anxious for the next step but we have decided on a 5 day a week preschool instead of kindergarten to let her mature a bit more and to be a "baby" one more year.  Yep, lots of lost sleep and many prayers sent up on this one but I am feeling good with this decision.  It really has made a world of difference for Alex.  Now, Miss Ava is as independent, strong-willed and smart as they come.  She seems to have matured overnight and I know that preschool will be no match for her next year
I am ready for a "break" from the daily schedule even though we have VBS, T-ball, and gymnastics to contend with for a few more weeks...then off to Florida! This is the teacher appreciation gifts the kids and I put together for their teachers and assistants. It included a cup, beach towel, sunblock and a tote/picnic basket. These pictures are of Alex's school trip to the zoo! It was his first bus ride as well. So happy I got to share it with him. Alot of his classmates had never been to a zoo and it was pretty cool to experience it with them for the first time! The last picture is my sweet Sophia and Ms. Jami. She has been such a big and precious part of our lives since Alex was at WC preschool. She has given me so much guidance and given my kiddos such great confidence! Posted by Heather Brewer Hill
