A day no one will forget...

What a tragic day it was just 10 years ago.  I'll never forget where I was.  I had taught an early morning step class and as we stepped out of the studio the members who were working out in the gym told us to watch the TV.  I could immediately tell by the broadcasters tone that this was serious.  I had to leave for IUPUI (I was in nursing school) but on our breaks we all watched in horror!  I remember going to my knees in prayer.  That was the only thing that gave me peace.  I was so grateful and amazed at how all the churches in Indy were open for prayer services.  Please pray for the families that lost someone in this horrible tragedy and for those who are still serving to protect our freedom and safety.  God Bless them all!!!

Hooray for Ava

I can't believe it but I think we are finally getting somewhere with potty training!  Ava does good about 3/4 of the time but I know when she is busy or playing with friends we are going to have trouble!  Today she did pretty well.  She usually isn't easily bribed but I think she's figuring out that it's pretty cool!  Keep it up big girl.

Eating her sucker prize for pee pee on the potty!  (She's a little messy from her spaghetti dinner)

Ava trying on Sophia's dance leo with her snow boots..great look!

Another milestone...

Sophia and her sweet buddy, Ayla!

We LOVE Ms. Jami

Meet the teacher night and Soph's locker

Ava got to go to McDonald's Playland while Sophia was at school

Sophia started 4-5 preschool yesterday!  She was way more excited this year.  I am just so proud of what a big girl she is becoming.  I did okay because I was so focused on getting Ava out of there before she started screaming!  She really, really, really wants to stay!  I even was bribing her with going to McD's to play with her buddy and that didn't even work.  "I stay at school"  she kept saying.  Anyway, Sophia had a great day, she took her teddy bear for show-n-tell and she said they painted...her favorite.  I can't say enough about the girls who teach at her preschool.  They are sent from God for sure!!!  I know she gets so much love and attention there that it makes the transition so much easier.  Thanks girls for all you do!

The last summer hoorah!

Sophie loves to play "makeup".  She's modeling her lipstick!

Sophia even let Ava use some!

Playing a little DS together.
Because it was a little chilly and cloudy we spent time playing inside but we really did enjoy that.  We were able to swim (probably for the last time) on Friday.  Grammie and Papaw took them to the park and to Scoops on Saturday which was perfect park playing weather and then we played alot of games and Wii the rest of the weekend!  It's hard to believe fall is here.  I love fall and all the fun outdoor activities but I miss the pool time and laziness of no school or extracurricular activities.
