Fitting it all in!

This is before the meltdown!

This is after we discovered we can't sit with our friends!

Right after he got out of school on his very first day!!!
Well school has started, it took me a day but I have finally stopped crying!  My big boy has officially started kindergarten and informed me this morning that he "loves school"!  This is music to my ears...he is very quite and I was so scared he would cry daily.  He cried for a few minutes yesterday when we dropped him off but that was really only because 2 or his buds and another girl he knew were at the same table (by alphabetical order) and he wasn't!  Oh boy, I thought we were done but he ended up having a great day and says he loves all of it!

Before school started we took alittle overnight trip to Indy.  We went to the zoo one day, swam at our hotel and then went to the Children's Museum the next day...so fun!  It's always nice to get away and in Sophie's words "my favorite part was being together"!  How long will that last???

This is for my Mom, had to get a shot of that!

We had to drag Ava away from this water table!

Ava and Sophia watching the sea lions swim

Sophie posing in front of the sea lion that was sunning himself on this awesome day!  We picked a great day in August to go, it was only about 80 degrees!

Alex posing in front of dinosaur poop!  He said "Papaw's gotta see this!"

Bath tub silly kids!

These two are soooooo goofy!  We heard them cracking up in the tub and when we went to see, this is what we found!  They used their bath crayons to paint their faces!!!

Ava and Sophia had enough swimming so they went in to make silly faces at the deck door, we are always entertained!
Here is Matt's birthday card I made him fro his birthday which is tucked in between Alex and Sophia's birthday so I try to make his special but it's always so crazy!
All of my kids (2 and 4 legged)!  They are like their dad and I...we love our dogs!
I got my zoom lens out to capture this pretty butterfly that landed on my butterfly bush.

Birthday Bash!!!

Alex and his buddy, Joey getting a ride from Joey's sister Ellie.
Ava got a gift too from her aunt and uncle...such a princess!

                                                                            Gotta love toys!
                                                                 My beautiful birthday girl!!!
Ava and our neighbor and fun buddy, Meredith!

                                                                    "Happy Birthday to you!"
The other place to be in the heat (my sweet friends Steph and Suzanne)

This summer has been incredibly hot but that why it's nice to have a pool (even though it's 91 degrees in the pool)!  The kids wanted to have a "friend" party for their birthdays so that's what we did!  I usually get stressed and wound up getting ready but I didn't do that this time, I figured it would all work out.  It was pretty hot but my BFF brought some of her tents and that helped as well as being in the water!

New kid in town!

This is the 1st day she came to live with us and it was also Sophia's birthday.  She was right in the middle of everything and fit right into the family!
My Rosie girl!

Oh sweet, sweet Rosie!  We lost our precious chocolate lab, Ellie, last fall and are still mourning!  She was so fun and lovey.  She was Matt's dog before we met but she became mine pretty quick.  With that being said my lab, Reagan, became Matt's dog pretty quick too!  Ellie peed on my foot on our 1st date and then a couple of times on our dates after that!  I loved her from the beginning.... Now, Reagan as well as the rest of the family wanted to get another dog but struggled with puppy vs. young dog.  I visited with Rosie (she was Cinna in her previous life) and well that was that.  She is now the new member of the Hill family.  We love her to pieces.  She was so submissive and calm when we got her.  Now she is still sweet but comfortable and tends to get into mischief.  I'm not used to having to keep an eye on the dogs.  She does well when we are home but likes to destroy things when we are gone!  Now, she must stay in a crate when we leave:(  Hopefully, she will learn and we won't have to do that for long.  This is the 4th dog and 1 cat that I have used a president's name.  For instance we had Kennedy, Lincoln, Reagan, Quincy the cat, and now Roosevelt aka Rosie.

This little shadowbox frame is done with some BigShot dies from Stampin Up!  I love my BigShot and use it quite frequently.  This is just a 12x12 frame and I used a fabric flower on the corner and then the same flower just made out the matching paper with buttons in the middle!  So cool and so easy!!!  It looks adorable in her room and she is pretty proud of it.

I love that Stampin Up has fabric now and I am going to attempt to make Sophia a birthday shirt this week with it!

I went to see Josh!

He really is adorable and very funny!

I absolutely love Josh Groban and so when his tour stopped in Indy I was there!  I saw him on his last tour and he was so great. His voice as well as his music is just breathtaking!  I joined his fan club just to get tickets 2 days before everyone else so our seats were pretty darn good.  Matt doesn't totally appreciate his talent so my Mom and I went and we both couldn't say enough of how good it was!!!

Thank Goodness that's done!

Sweet girl reading a bedtime story in her big girl bed!

She is loving having some of her toys in her room to play with.  I love the dollhouse bookshelf to help organize alittle!

Big girl bed.  Unfortunately her room is a little small so she gets a twin bed for now.
The dresser was mine growing up so I just refinished it and added new knobs.

I had a yardsale last weekend and boy is that ALOT of work.  I did pretty well but it took me all week to price and set up.  The kids missed alittle pool time but they got to ride their power wheel cars around the front yard while I worked.  What I didn't sell I donated and now I have so much space...let's see how long it takes before it's filled back up!  Sadly, I sold the crib and changing table too.  Ava was throwing a fit at bedtime and nap time (which is what the other 2 did at this point) so I set up her big girl room and she's doing pretty well!  Between that and selling ALL my baby things I have to say I've been sort of depressed this week.  I know, I know, I am very blessed with 3 perfect, beautiful awesome babies but I really enjoy that sweet time where they are so tiny...and they don't talk back!!!
